Hope is Foolish!

Hope is foolish

Fool ‘ish’

Like a fool

To hope is to be a fool

A fool as in someone

Who knows not the facts

All too well

Who knows not the dangers

All too close

Who knows not the consequences

All by heart

Who knows only that

There is a will to walk

On however many number of feet available

Two, one or none

Who knows only that

There is somewhere to reach

Somewhere to be

Who knows not where

Or when or how

Who keeps trying nevertheless

Who keeps moving nevertheless

Who finally finds nevertheless

For he knows

All men are foolish

Fool ‘ish’

Like fools

And that that is the only way

To wisdom
